Does anyone have a way to make a shelf unit from an old ladder?

you could add a wedge just above the one step you want the shelf to be located. this could be a 2 x 2 or a dowel. give it just enough room to place your shelf board on and this configuration will hold the shelf level. this is only for a single shelf and I would not have it too long as too much weight might cause it to break off or tilt over.

put boards thru each step that is if you have steps on both sides. go in to google.
