I removed the vertical blinds to my patio door. How can I re-purpose the metal slats?

Use them as a room divider that you can open and close. I plan to use them in my daughters room on a raised platform so she can have her play area enclosed or not. I plan to paint a mural on them so that when they are closed they won't be a boring wall.

I use them, when painting. I slide or wedge them under the baseboard, to keep paint off of the carpet.

I used my slats to make garden plant markers, cut them, used magic marker and. they lasted many years. Get creative!

We used our vertical blinds for landscape edging. If they're really flimsy it may not work but ours were pretty sturdy. It's worked out great!

obvious would be to paint but I like to think out of the box. First off clean them very well. O wait. I thought you were rehanging. I was going to tell you to cover them in fabric that way they would look like curtains. Well, you could still do it. Do you have a window in the bathroom? Cut the slats to the desired length. Cut your fabric to fit each slat. You can trim edges later. On the side facing you slather on mod podge. Spread fabric on slat. Add a coat of mod podge on fabric. Get out any air bubbles. set aside to dry. Repeat other slats. Then go back to first slat and do another coat of mod podge. continue through in the same order. Let dry for 24 hours. To hang Get some shower curtain hooks that have the pinchers that hold the curtain and a round curtain rod. hang it up. Now you have a custom made curtain. You could do it for any window in your house. If you don't have enough slats check the thrift stores because I don't think they make them anymore. I've got myself wanting to make some today. lol

Anybody tried using them to cover the gaps between wood slats in a fence?

Great idea Anna, I may try to cut mine narrower, and weave in and out of my chain link fence. This should give me some privacy by my pool sitting area.

Cut them in such a way as to organize your junk drawer. Or your sock drawer, etc.
