How can I make a new lampshade using old frame?

I have some unique sized lampshades that were damaged during a move. I cannot find replacements in the proper size and would like to redo the shades using the original frames. I'd like the materials in keeping with the traditional style. Some are textured parchment and the others are silk with parchment lining.

I have a lot of the soft-net shower poofs and it seems a waste to just throw them away. Any ideas on how to re-use them?

This link shows how to cover it starting with just a wire frame, and you can choose whatever materials you want to go over the lining:

Hello Carolyn, You could use fabric attached to the frame and then glue on braided ribbon or cording around the top and bottom edges of the shade. I recommend walking thru your local fabric shop. The possibilities are endless. Hope this helps. Good luck.
