How can I use the small baby food jars for crafts?

I have about 100 of them (the short ones) with lids. I have made miniature snow globes in the past, but can't find anymore tiny snow figurines to put in them to make more for gifts. Beside using them to hold tiny things, I would like suggestions for use, or if anyone would like to have them for free. Thank you. :)

You could donate them to any senior center, assisted living facilities, or nursing/rehab homes with a craft room or activities coordinator!

Thank you, Pamela. I did know it was lids because I have done that and still have too many. lol. Have donated to nursing homes and senior centers but I'm the kind of person who can't throw things away and keep washing them. (I foster cats/kittens, & sometimes very young puppies. We go through many meat baby food for more protein and iron for them when we have to help their diet along and/or to entice them to eat the vitamin ones from the vet.) Again, thank you. :)

My father-in-law made table top Christmas trees with them. Cut the shape of a Christmas tree from plywood. Also cut a base for it to stand on. Paint them green lay the tree down and space out your jars then drill small holes, just big enough, to slide the light bulb of a strand of Christmas lights through, in the lids of the jars and through the Christmas tree itself. Attach the lids to the tree by using a strong craft glue or hot glue. Slide the lights through from the back and screw on the jars. Attach the base. Plug it in and you’ll see how beautiful the lights look through the jar bottoms! He also cut small “packages” out of wood and painted them different colors to sit on the base below the tree. These trees are especially nice for small apartments or nursing home .rooms

We have used them to make snow globes by hot gluing a santa or little tree or something wintery to the bottom. After it cools, fill it with water and white glitter or sequins. Then hot glue the lid on. You can also use them for homemade bath salts, lotions, and creams. https://littlesproutslearning.co/whipped-body-butter-lotion/

Many of us share your trait of not being able to throw items such as baby food jars away. IMHO it is a wonderful trait to have! :)

You can use them as candle holders. The small candles will fit in them or you can make your own by melting candle wax, adding scent, and a wick. You could also glue several of the containers minus the lids together to make different heights of candle holders. They could be painted a solid color or you could use glue and food coloring to create a translucent paint to add to the inside of each jar before gluing them together using E-6000. The jars also make organizing a junk drawer a little easier. The jars also make good spice containers. You could make a gift set for newly marrieds by painting the lids and labeling some of the more commonly used spices to get them started. You could place an assortment of small candies into several of them for gifts as well.
