Make sure the edges are smooth and they are cleaned out. Then you can put in drawers for organizers; paint or cover with contact paper and use as desk organizers for things like paper clips, rubber bands, push pins, binder clips; put a photo in the bottom and add a magnet to the back for refrigerator magnets; make alphabet or counting toys for toddlers by adding letters & numbers to the inside on the bottom; put a tealight inside for small candle holders; and this idea I saw for a zero cost camp stove fuel container...

I save them too, use for paint projects, sorting tiny craft supplies, nuts and bolts in the garage, options are endless. Have fun!

That has to be lots of cans adding up daily, 730 in a year! I would just recycle them when you have done as many storage and crafts as you like.

I have 2 that i keep in my kitchen for making breakfast. Of course I remove the old cat food and label and run them thru the dishwasher first but these are great for pouring eggs in and cook them so they turn out round and then putting on homemade biscuits (this gives you the nice round effect like if they were purchased from a fast food place but MUCH cheaper).

You would need to remove both top and bottom parts of the can using an can opener.

Use them secured together as display for plants, or other small items. stack them and make a Christmas Tree

Cat food cans are the perfect size for a desk drawer, where they can hold things like paperclips, pushpins or spare change. You could also use them in your medicine cabinet for bobby pins, barrettes and hairbands.

They are great for making small Christmas ornaments...like the diorama kinds. You can get mini trees and people from the dollar store and build your own little snow scenes. Wrap the cans in ribbon or paint them.
