How can I upcycle windows to make cabinets for friends?

So I have a lot of windows to use and I want to try and make cabinets for family and friends for gifts. They need to be light enough to hang w/o the use of huge nail into a stud. Does hanging with picture wire work? can I use 1/2"x8x8 for frame? Thanks for reading my questions. OOOOO also should I put felt on corners of wall side of windows so wont mark wall. Or is there something better? thanks again

Your first plan must to decide what design you wish to make and what size. That will be dependant on the frames you have. Once you have a picture of what you want to do. you should be abe to calculate how much of the frames can be cut up to make your ideas. Corner Cabinet, Bathroom Cabinet, Display Cabinet etc.
