How do I turn a flimsy 3 panel (room divider) screen into a headboard?
I was given this screen but the decorative paper inserts
are torn and missing. I was told they make interesting headboards, but can't find
anything showing me how to go about making it.

This could be a quick easy project. You can stand the screen up flat against the wall to use as a headboard and hopefully it is the correct size....if not, you could use it horizontally, screwed to the wall. Either way, you can tear off all the torn papers and redo that in either one big piece of fabric or papers of same or different colors adhered to the framework for a one of a kind headboard. Consider wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, a drop cloth, a large table cloth or even old drapery panel for the background of the screen which will be seen through the panels. You might need to reinforce where it is hinged with thin wood glued onto the back after the decorative material is attached. Good luck! Sounds fun and you can create a truly unique, lightweight headboard.

Meb2288 Make a headboard by attaching the screen flat to the wall at the head of your bed. Fill in the inserts with paint, screen, fabric, mini lights, or anything you like. Good Luck to you.
