How do i turn my queen size head board into a porch bench?
I have a solid oak headboard that had set outside for two years and I desperately want to turn it into a comfy, wide bench! I'm okay with simple wood working and can sand and paint like no bodies business. I just need a starting point.

Most of the projects I found use a headboard and footboard. You can see how this would work better than headboard alone because you would have four matching legs. It still can be done and made attractive but will take more effort to make the front legs look like they belong. You will probably want oak, which can be expensive, so everything will match. Of course if you paint it the wood species will matter less.
