Paint it - Spray it - Nail varnish-embellish and then cover a piece of card or board with padding and fabric and install. Use Pins to hold items in place.....Hope that helps.
I wold probably glue a strand of inexpensive beads around it. But remember jewelry collection is usually a life long passion, so allow for enough space for expansion!

A piece of chicken wire, hardware mesh or aluminum screen can be cut to fit into the opening of the frame to store earrings or (with hooks) necklaces. I hope this helps!
