How can I repurpose a mesh apple basket?

I was gifted 2 apple wire mesh baskets similar to photo. Any suggestions as to how to re-purpose them?

Hi Barb, I’m sorry I don’t see the attached photo! But I love to repurpose wore mesh baskets as storage containers - to hold books and linens in my linen cabinet. They also make pretty vintage decor items on your bookshelves

I don't see a photo either but you could use this basic idea:

    * Pots of flowers, magazines, or artificial fruit.

    * At the base of a stairway as a "catchall" for items that need to go upstairs or downstairs.

    * On the back seat of your vehicle for holding small purchases that rattle all over the place.

    Wish I had them.

I don’t see the photos, but wire apple baskets are perfect for weaving with yarn, narrow lace, twine, raffia, or another material that can be woven through the mesh. If the mesh is too dense for yarn, another idea is to use very thin copper wire to weave even a few rows at the top and bottom of the basket. You could also glue cording or wide lace to sections of the basket, perhaps inside and outside. I sure hope you find an idea you like. Best wishes 🤶🏻

I spray painted some sunflower ones black and use in the guest bath to hold toiletries when visitors come. It’s easy to spot when items need to be replenished in a cute basket.

Wire baskets can be used to place over the top of young plants to keep animals out but let water and sunlight in.

They can be hung on the walls or from the ceilings of the closets to store items, but still be able to see what you have in them.

They can be attached to a wall from the bottom to create shelves.

They can be used upside down to create a pendulum light.

Or used to store dish towels, laundry pins/balls, bath towels or washcloths, or kept in the truck of your car for loose items.
