How to repurpose only the hutch part of a buffet/hutch?
I redid my parents 50 year old buffet, only to have it confiscated by my daughter. I am now left with the hutch part that I simply can't part with, but have no idea what to do with it without dismantling it. The entire buffet/hutch unit was hand made for my parents and I inherited it. I would like to repurpose the upper part so my other daughter will also have a lovely piece of her grandparent's original unit. Looking forward to hearing the input from this crafty bunch.

Hello. I wonder if you could find a table or a build a platform to re-mounted your heirloom piece on and make it a collectible curio display. I hope you find the perfect solution.
I would put feet on it to make it look like its own free standing piece of furniture. A small table might do the trick too!

You could have a base (with legs) created to add to the hutch so it could serve as an accent piece in any room of your daughter's home.
'Lots of inspiration in the Pinterest pictures, but I am wondering if you could use it in the bathroom for storage?
How about tall legs. Amazon has tons of replacement legs in metal and wood.
Hi. Mount it on Strong Legs and turn it into a Buffet too.
Can it stand on its own?
I have seen many projects on fb where people have hung the top portion on the wall. If she has a farmhouse style, you can replace the glass with chicken wire.
add sturdy metal legs or even wooden one and use as a table or storage unit
I would go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill stores and see if you could find a dresser that would fit under the hutch. Repurpose into another piece of furniture, maybe for a bedroom.
If you look for another desk to put it on then you could give it away with a use.or just hang on the wall
