Jawanna, if you decide not to use your 2 tanks. consider donating them to either an animal shelter, a senior citizen home or a school. Any of these places will get so much excitement out of whatever creatures they are used for. Educational, too!

If you have a place where the temp is constant, you could grow fresh herbs under led lighting. I would put pebbles on the bottom, then a layer of mesh then potting soil. (which is lighter weight than top soil) plant your seeds that you want according to package. Take indoor, outdoor led lights and tape along the inside top frame. Make sure to keep well watered per package direction. Fresh herbs or vegetables year round.

do as Renee suggested-- just use the cleaned fish gravel from tank then landscape fabric then dirt, just put some aquarium plant bulbs in the lights or the tubes you have will even work use covers too they will help with holding in humidity just don't water too much of your veggies, herbs, plants will rot.; or make a coffee table https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWz_-sSCaOo or shelving unit out of them put them on stands sideways;use outside as fountain;turn upside down to use as mini green houses outside; here are more ideas https://www.pinterest.com/pin/145311525446772578/

I use an old aquarium for a terrarium, and have great success with wintering my bulbs in it that cannot stay outside. I just put them in with the plants that are always in there and take them out when the danger of frost is past. I use the aquarium light for the grow light, and add various small plants to get more color from time to time. I have a couple of aquarium decor pieces in it, as well.
