I need some ideas on how to reuse wooden headboards. I would like to incooperate them into my yard. What kind of paint to seal them from the weather. I also need help on seealing the cement floor in our house. We are taking the rug out of our house,, we have seeveral pets, son and husband working in grease, and a elderly mother-in-law with alzheimer, she forgets where the bathroom is.

Here's a links to many ideas right here on Hometalk. Headboards http://www.hometalk.com/search/posts?filter=repurpose%20headboards Staining Concrete http://www.hometalk.com/search/posts?filter=staining%20concrete As for choosing what product to seal your concrete I would suggest going to your local HoDe, L's or other home improvement or paint store. Tell them your situation and they'll be able to better help you pick the sealer that's best for you. Many are as easy as rolling on with a long handled paint roller.

Make a garden bench and use an outdoor paint on it . As for your floor you will have to clean this first. Then if you like there are paints available for the cement floor.

There are tons of ideas on Pinterest for headboard makeovers into garden benches. Some have tutorials. We have two twin headboards and I'm converting to benches for our sunporch. You can use exterior paint (for stucco) and then cover with an exterior poly or, as I'm doing, a marine paint specialized for boats that already has a water repellant. I've used it on our cement front porch and it's held up for over three years with water and sun and constant exposure. A little more pricey but worth it for durability.
