What projects can I do with a bamboo shade, and with pallets?

I inherited a 48" wide lined bamboo shade. It's new, never used. We also have a handful of pallets laying around. I'd love some ideas to use both for or either for a DIY project. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for you thoughts!

Check out these great ideas for repurposing Pallets, there are lots of great projects from fellow Hometalkers.

And, would you want to use the shade to make a portable privacy curtain? You could use it indoors or out.

I dont know about the pallets but with the bamboo being 4 ft long I would think it would make a nice light headboard or table top covering or runner down the center of a table. or cut and glue it to cover cabinet or dressers.

If you have one of those pop up rainshelters for outside, you can hang that shade using metal shower curtain rings on the side you want shade from sun or more privacy.

Okay, attach the bamboo blinds to one side of the pallet and nail/screw it to the wall of your garage, hollow side up. You can store rakes, brooms, scrap wood pieces, etc. in it. The blinds will add a chic look to the front of the storage pallet. Additionally, you can nail wood inserts (like drawer dividers) in the hollow space at the top if you are going to store brooms and rakes to keep them separate. I haven't done this yet because I want to pain my garage this summer first.

Home Talk has had post's reperposing palets in to coffe tables. Check some old Home Talk emails, till you come across one. I think they have had several post's. Alternatively email the Home Talk team! Re garding the door.

You could turn it into a feature peace for your garden. Again Home Talk has had post's on repurposing doors to! Good luck! Hope you can post picks so we can see how the projects turn out. Kay Adelaide Australia
