I got another one! kitchen counter: lean you cook book or Bible against the rod part then maybe insert a single dowel across the pages thru the spoke part (to keep it opened) !! You could put little stick rubber pads on the bottom of the wheels so it won't roll away or move around.

take the stem off of solar lights (as many as you need) and glue them on the bar portion after painting everything the same color, including the casing on the lights
  • Bring it on inside! I see colorful kitchen towels put in those openings on the wheel..maybe rolled up or just placed there and maybe inbetween on the middle bar you can put some "S" hooks and hang your measuring cups etc.
  • Mary C Mary C on Jun 28, 2013
the best thing you can do with this is allow me to purchase it from you! it is darling....where in the world did you find this lovely set of wheels? do you know what it was originally a part of? i like the swing idea, even if you don't turn it into a child's swing, but maybe one for yourself with lovely ropes to hold it....then, add pretty ribbons and flowers too the ropes,,,,i saw this swing idea on the real housewives of beverly hills....it was lisa's swing....i also like the wheelbarrow idea....i would leave it white....i surely do wish i could find something so charming as this....and yes, please post your final project...and always remember, you can always switch it out....it would be really cute at Christmas time if you did turn it into a little cart and place presents in it...i could see it being used as a Seasonal item....enjoy... :)

I guess I would be worried about keeping it outside and the weather taking it's toll on it. But depending on the size I would take it apart insert a hook through the center of the wheels for hanging coats, towels or decorations for the changing seasons.

With not knowing the width .. from wheel to wheel.. That gap between the wheels measurement? If not too big, I would place a mail box on the axle. Then build either a structure or legs to lift it up to mail box height. Do some kind of Bird house mail box.. or maybe just bird house or several bird house's.
  • Brenda Brenda on Jun 30, 2013

  • Dawn Scheidegger-Jones Dawn Scheidegger-Jones on Aug 30, 2013
You will have to somehow attach a piece of 8-12 foot piece of either 2x6 or 2x8 pressure treated wood to the middle of the cross bar. then at each end you can find either a small "T" piece of wood or some kind of handle for the kids to hold onto probably about a foot in from the end (use your imagination) I would sand the wood and make sure there are no sharp edges, maybe if you have a router you could do some fancy edges. Either paint some whimsy colors or keep it wood. I cant tell, but you will have to make sure the wheels don't move. You don't want the kids rolling away. This is not just for children either. I hope this helps. Dawn

double decker lazy Susan? Add two picture frames from dollar store, paint them, drill holes in the middle to keep them stable, then paint the wheels. Or, instead of picture frames, glue on cups around it and use it for outside condiment /plastic-wear caddy. Just winging it here, but still might work.

    thanks for posting it!!

  • Carey Carey on Aug 18, 2017

Since the wheels are wood, I would not want to put them outside as they will quickly deteriorate, and not be nice any more. I kind of like the towel rack idea or add to the side of a tea cart as decoration. I just bought a lovely tea cart a while back and I really like the pretty wheels that it has. Or if you have a porch swing it could be lovely decoration under the arms of it. IT would be sheltered there and really pretty. I like them white.

  • Barb Barb on Aug 19, 2017

Paint them brown and use one on front door by making a wreath for Halloween and Christmas and the other one place bale hay and fall flower in tin pail on top of the hay and lean the wheel against the hay. Instant fall decorating

I would make a wheel barrow garden cart...two wheels on the front and two legs on he back end with small handles extending out for looks. great for displaying house plants. Paint it an accent colour to spice up a rooms decor ie. lime green, red, yellow, slate blue, purple, orange...go for pop colour accent.
