I always have glass votive cups left when I buy and burn candles such as the Glade and /or Air Wick scented ones. The first challenge is getting the left over wax out.

Hi, Evelyn - put the votives with leftover wax in them in some warm water for a few minutes; just until the wax softens. Then take a dull knife, run it around the edge and urge it out. I've reused these as votives at the holidays when I get sorta' crazy with candles!

you can also put them in the freezer and take a knife and the wax pops right out. This website gives 30 ways to use the glass votives

You could use them to hold all kings of little things in your bathroom, like cotton swabs, cotton balls, make up brushes, etc., the same for in your craft area, kitchen, etc. If you do a lot of cooking where you add in a little of different spices, the smaller ones can be used to put all the ingredients in them. I collect the little plastic containers the grocery stores give samples of food in for that little chore and it works really well. You could always make your own candles and refill them with new wicks and wax.

They are great for kids projects to decorate. You can also spray paint them with mercury glass paint, try adding any seasonal window clings and paint remove the clings for a seasonal votive. I use the heavier square ones in my bathroom drawers for q-tips, hair clips, on the vanity for lipstick and makeup brushes, craft room for extra buttons from things I buy, In the laundry room while cleaning pockets, finders-- keepers ! In the garage for nuts bolts and nails etc...
