But you can only cover when not in use, will burn the unit out and will void any warranty you may have.

Pattynlennie :) Do you know how to use Pinterest? because I have a Pinterest link here with all sorts of AC cover ideas from pallets, and the best thing about it is you don't have to pull them apart to make the covers --- you have to cut them in spots though. So whaen you see a cover you like, click the pic and be taken to what I cal l"the portal pic" where you will see, in the lower right corner of the pic, a word like VISIT orREAD, etc. Click the word and be taken to the page that will tell you how it was made (or at least let you see an enlargement that you can study out to figure how it was made). Good Luck. Thanks for using HOMETALK :)

Use hinges on two sides to keep the pallets standing. Use one on top and one on the bottom of each pallet. In the spaces that you can see, put some ply wood in those spaces. Paint the pallets one color and the ply wood another. Try to give it some contrast, ex. yellow and red, beige and bright yellow, dark blue with light blue. Before you paint make sure you by high-gloss,gloss, and a weather sealer. I wouldn't put a top on it, just cover with an A/C cover for the winter. EJL.
