I have an empty plastic crackers container with writing on the outside. I would like to make it a plant pot, how do I decorate the outside?

I would try using adhesive shelf paper, or even decorative duct tape to cover the container. Don't forget to poke some holes in the bottoms for drainage!
Another option would be to spray paint, then add embellishments.
You can decorate with paint by taping different areas off with masking tape to make a mdoern design. You could also decoupage some pretty designs onto the surface or trim with wire or small chains to create a pretty design. You could layer different colors of rocks in the bottom befoe adding soil for you plant and that would add some interest as well.
