I have several large, black plastic containers that trees come in. What could I do with them? How could I decorate them to use out in my yard or patio? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

One easy decoration for them. Get some inexpensive rope in different colors. With a hot glue gun, glue the end at the bottom of the container just above the drain holes. Then continue to wrap tightly around the black pot and spot glue in the same area calling it the Back of the pot. Change colors for a striped effect. I used plastic rope from a dollar store. The color combinations and patterns are endless. You could group them in 2's or 3's and sell them.

They can be good fertilizer dispensers because of the holes on the bottom. Or repaint them and reuse the pots as...pots! For garden flowers!

Keep them to cover tender plants when we have a late frost or freeze. I put plastic grocery bags over my peonies and used the plastic black pots to cover the bags. It worked very well. I also start seeds in them and cover in plastic until i have plants.

You can spray paint them if you don't like the black. I have a lot of them and use them to plant my veggies in. When you get older it make gardening easier. Instant raised beds and Armadillo's can't get in them.

love all the ideas, but instead of using rope, you could use the tape thats so popular now/comes in lots of colors and styles/. Could also clean pots and use them for can..recycling,clothes giveaways etc.or toy storage if have kids/grandkids.For older ones could store swim gear or sports stuff in them .....hope this helps.
