Are there any places that will let people come by to take pallet boards without paying? I am hearing that people are getting them free. Thank you.

Go on craigs list. They might not be free but worth a try.

A ton listed on craiglist normally, however, our local Wal-Mart (and some other stores) permit you to take them from the back of the store where they stack them up. We were told any but the painted blue ones can be taken.

Home depot will sometimes give them away free , If you drive around your area and look at the back of shops they have them laying around and just go in and ask.

@Sally Home Depot does not give them away .Why would you say that. Please do not tell people that. Home Depot in fact pays for the pallets.

Try the other option then, I get mine from a equipment rental company they just leave them lying out in their yard and I just ask if I can have some.

I own a glass company and next door to me is a tile company, we both have stacks of pallets. It pains me to see them go in the trash, knowing they could be used by someone. I think any company would be happy to give their pallets away.
