People talk a lot about pallets. I would like to know where you can get them and most important to me being in an annual income of $13,090 per year. How much do they cost ?

Thankyou so much in advance for any help you can give me

  • Do you have a nearby manufacturing company? If so, give them a call. Some businesses will happily give away their pallets. You'll just need to look for businesses who receive large amounts of supplies or receive large items.

Hardware and grocery stores usually have a lot and will give them for free or cheap!

Hello Laurie If you are interested in starting projects with pallets it is a good idea to know what kind of pallets you are using. Here is a very informative link https://www.fix.com/blog/preparing-wood-pallets-for-upcycling/ Also some places to get used pallets are from supermarkets, hardware stores and occasionally dry cleaners. I've never had to pay for pallets, as lots of people generally want to get rid of them. You might check on Craigslist, neighborhood publications, newspaper ads (same section usually as garage sale ads), and stores. I see them all the time in front of or behind stores with signs on them advertising "free". If none of these work out, you might ask store personnel if they have any they'd be willing to give away free. Good luck!

Depending on where you live, many places give them away for free. Look on Craig's list, freecycle.org, Nextdoor.com, and on Facebook if you are a social media user. Behind stores and by dumpsters in strip malls is a good place to look. Liquor stores, and copy stores have items shipped on pallets and those are typically cleaner than grocery store pallets. In my area nothing is free, they go for $10 and up for each one.
