I have a bunch of old brass look picture frames from my kids class pictures in the 80's. Any ideas? They also have glass in front

  • You could simply spray paint them all to match and do a gallery wall and add photos of trips or moments that bring back great memories. you could also spray paint find botanical prints or artwork, seal the photos in with clear silicone (if you had 2 glass panes together, and then hang on your porch or deck.

If you choose not to use them to display vintage pics anymore, I just saw a fantastic looking collage of different shaped frames, with differing sizes and textures...no pictures or glass inside, just an accent piece on a blank wall. With brass, this could be stunning.

Rustoleum makes various metal paints...I love the copper and pewter! You might want to look into this. You can paint a lot of frames with just a can of spray paint under $5! A trash pile bench has new life with a stunning copper finish!

Paint them all one color, add photos, and surround them on a wall with a huge, plain frame painted the same color. I did this with black and white photos and black paint, and it's dramatic. You can add different colored mats to some if you want pops of color.

You could paint the frames different colors (or the same) and use scrapbook paper as the background and then spell words with wood or paper letters, using one letter per frame. Example: L O V E or J O Y, or even someone's name.
