New use for plastic cutlery trays

Marie
by Marie
I have about 4-5 plastic cutlery trays. Any suggestions for use other than the usual (jewelry, crafts, hair accessories, etc.)???
Any point in attaching them together? How? For what purpose?

Hhhmmm...other than using them to separate/store different types of teas, the only other thing I can think of is maybe mounting them to the wall and using them to display little things. Not sure what else other than the typical things you named!

If you drilled holes in the bottom to allow for draining, you could use them to start seedlings inside this spring. You can also donate them to a preschool or daycare for them to use for sorting, craft supplies etc.

They work well for storing tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, drill bits, even screws and nails in the smaller sections.

Could help organize remote controls if needed. I like to keep one in my truck under the passenger seats to hold candy bars and nut baggies on long trip.

I use them to organize makeup and other things stored in the bathroom. The ones the far left and right in your picture are the most functional for other uses other than flatware. These are great for storing individual bags of tea or K-cups in a drawer.

I used several to store small Christmas ornaments in a larger tote box. When my kids were youner these were used to store small toys. (Match box cars etc...) Also the plastic ones float and can be used in a cooler/ice chest to keep items cold without sinking into melted ice as the day gets on. Sort and Store coins until you get the paper wrappers. Spray with Pam and fill with plaster of Paris When set and hard tip them out and carve design of choice. Makes great molds for pewter and other materials

I used mine for tools and office supplies. Hammers, screwdrivers and such work well in the longer dividers.

I used one in end table drawer next to my favorite front room chair for organization of odds &ends I like to have at my disposal (ink pen and post it note, nail clippers/file, etc.) which keeps items from rolling around and winding up in a jumble at back of the drawer
