Repurpose leftover blind slats

If they are aluminum or plastic you can use them for garden markers. I had some cheap plastic ones that cut easily with scissors and wrote on them with a permanent marker.

The flag idea is amazing! For wood slats you could paint the, then mark off the inches and label for a cute ruler, maybe even a yardstick. Or make measuring sticks with bright stripes or numbers to measure snowfall—a good white elephant gift!
