What to do with a bunch of springs, 8" long and 1/2" diameter?

These springs are quite stiff, rather like an old fashioned screen door spring. They will bend but not very easily expand/stretch.

    Could you attach them to a base, hang some bells or such on the bottoms and make a wind chime?

    Screw them onto a really cool looking piece of wood and hang your earings on it. Spray paint it some fabulous color before attaching to wood

    Use them to hang kitchen items like grater, spoons, spatula, and make a mobile for the kitchen.

    I think that might be the same type of spring I used to hang a hanging basket on my front porch. It lowered it just enough for me to conveniently water it.
