That is a great piece.I think I mentioned before I would make a garden bench out of it.If it is possible.

It's too low for a bench unless someone has some good ideas to bring up the height

Well keep in mind you don't necessarily have to use it to sit on. I use benches for plants because I am what is known as a plant freak.

Yay! See, it wasn't that hard to add a photo! :^D My first thought on your other post was a bench, figuring your little one that just grew out it might find it fun to have something their own size. I know our grandson enjoys the little seating I have bought him over the years. He's almost 8 now. Someone on your other post suggested a pet bed which is an awesome idea if you have, or know of someone that has, a pet that would love it. If you go that route I'd suggest cutting the side rails down to the edge of the safety rail and move the foot board up. You'd have to buy or make a cushion to fit. Seeing though gave me another idea. Turning it into a child's chaise lounge. If you moved the foot board to the side of the bed opposite the safety rail, add new legs to the foot, and a wedge pillow at the headboard you'd have an adorable chaise lounge.

Yes, I did, good idea, I thought I replied. My little guys can always use extra seating , just their size!

I decided to make a drawing in hopes of making my description more clear. Please forgive it's poor perspective. I really should be finishing laundry, so I hurried more than I should have.

If you decide to use this where you have those side rails remaining, those would make a wonderful sweater drying rack mounted as a pull down in laundry room. I have also seen them mounted on a wall as a magazine display by mounting it against a wall with spindles horizontal.
