Bark is approximately 6 to 8 inches wide and 12 to 18 inches tall and slightly curved.

bard, what is that????, up here in Canada... we call the covering on trees, bark????

  • It looks cool if you add it to a square mold and add epoxy resin. Can be used as a lamp base, paper weight etc

The slight curve suggests to me a shadow-box effect for a mirror frame! Don't know how large the limb hole is, but setting a piece of mirror, bought inexpensively at a hobby store, and set in place with hot glue, is just the thing. The shadow box effect comes in to play when the mirror is large enough that it has to sit back in the curve, away from contact with the edge of the limb hole. Hot glue a hanging wire into the back, above the mirror, and hang it in a hallway. The mirror will take people by surprise when they look into the hole to see what you've done with the bark. Make sure the mirror is parallel to the edges of the curve so that when you hang it, it reflects back at you, not off to one side!
