you can it as a small table in living room, dining room ,etc. i’ve Seen it done and it is beautiful. Decorate it as you would any other small side piece.
A desk. That may or may not require a larger top, depending on size work area desired.
A vanity for a small lavatory. Nostalgic but quite attractive in a rustic or country farm style bathroom.
A Kitchen island. If extra height is needed, build a box base to set it on. Casters would allow it to be moved if & when necessary.
Along that line, that make great serving carts. Add casters to feet or rolling base, towel bars on each end. What's better than that?

Is it all wood? Paint it. Put a bottom in it & store your sewing stuff in it. Coffee station or tea or hot chocolate. End table, by front door to put your purse in with hat & gloves with key hanging thing above it. Add shelf under it for flower or shoes or basket for misc. Good luck.
Add a tray with an old fashioned tea service.
