What are some unique ways to use mailboxes?

You could paint it to match your decor and set it inside your door to catch incoming and/or outgoing mail.

use it outside for hand gardening tools

I have it in my entry way and keep my coupons and discount mailers in it so I can grab them on the way out the door.

I would use it to hold garden hand tools. Mount on a shorter post and fill with trimmers, hand shovels etc.
