What are some uses for cotton buds ?

The family is bouycotting the budget buds I bought. Don't want to waste them and not sure if it's the sort of item you pass on.

is it because they hurt when used. not enough cotton on them?? yeah i did that once.
well, you can use them for crafting. (paint with them, use them for glue tips etc)
but if they didn't cost that much... tossing them is an option. i know you don't want to waste them, but if you really can't use them.. whats the point in keeping them? good luck!

You can use them to apply eye-shadow.
"q tips" which is a brand name but
everyone uses it instead of cotton buds.
I'm picturing these as tiny little flower heads! Cut them all in half. Make a small circle out of something ( about the size of a penny or smaller) to glue them to by the cut ends. Spray paint or dip them in colors and glue skewer sticks to them. With 700 cotton buds you could make s nice little arrangement with various heigth skewers.
