Paint it off white/ cream/beige. Weave wide grograin ribbon thru the slats. Use only a shade off in color/hue. (This will keep it a bit sophisticated rather than recycled look).) You can prop it up to a wall, attach a mirror or enjoy as a jewelry hanger or any idea you come up with.
Add hinges, put on tall bookcase - make cabinet.
Donate them and go get ice cream.
I would cover them with wallpaper and use them for a room divider.
