What can I do with an old window shutter I found at a yard sale?

There so many ideas on Pinterest and here on Home talk (I made a Christmas decoration out of mine). You will want to clean, sand and probably repaint it. I like some of the ideas that people attach a flower box on the bottom and decorate the upper portion or allow vines to climb it.

Depending on the size, I would clean it, leave the natural look, hang it on my wall by the back door and put hooks on it for keys, etc. !

I use mine as is, chipped old paint and all, and use all doorknobs and hooks, like my fellow hometalker recommends. I use mine behind the door to hand my jacket, keys, the dog's leash, etc. Have fun!
