If you have kids, you can spray paint them in bright colors and stack them into cubes stacked on top each other. Secure them together with zip ties and you have a quick and easy kid book case or for toy storage. Once started, it is amazing the things that you will think of to use up the milk crates.
Great storage baskets, plus they stack. I use one as a recycle bin just outside my kitchen door, when full I carry it down to the larger bin.
