What can I do with old cans?

I have been known to scrub them out, sand any sharp edges on the rim and cover them for everything from pencil holders to candle holders. The smaller size turned out to be perfect for gluing q-tips vertically around the can, I've mod podged fabric on others. Put small colorful stones in the bottom of the ones you use for candle holders to wedge the candle into a safe position.

Turned upside down they can be use for "Table-scaping props" for height when you want to make plants or candles higher. Add a pretty napkin & set you candle or flower for levels-makes a more interesting composition.

Of course you can always use them to hold most anything, pencils, paint brushes, scissors, cooking utensils, bag clips, Q-tips and cotton-balls, hair clips and ties, combs/brushes, pretty flowers, plants, screws, nails, nuts, etc... You get my drift but I use them for candles holders/ lanterns outside. I punch holes in the can to make a design, add ribbon or string whatever you like to jazz it up. I will hang them with LED lights inside the can for night celebrations . Very festive!
