Were they interior or exterior shutters? Keep in mind that if they were manufactured as interior shutters, they will not have much durability or longevity when exposed to exterior weather elements.
Hi Liz. I bought 2 pairs of shutters at Habitat for Humanity. They are about 3 feet tall. I attached them together with L brackets to make a square. 4 more L brackets at the top inside to hold my potted plant. Spray painted it white inside and out with indoor/outdoor paint. It took 2 cans. In the summer I put it on my porch. It came out so cute if I say so myself. Good luck Liz.
