We store small extension cords in them. Use as they are or wrap decorative duct tape or contact paper around them.
The projects are endless. Do a search on "Hometalk" by entering "toilet paper" in the "What is your next project" area at the top of the homepage.
People have cut them into 1/4" pieces and used them to make wall art, decorate around mirrors, etc. For craft storage, for bracelets. You can also go to youtube.com and enter the words and a multitude of videos showing what others have made with them will keep you entertained for quite a while. Some of the results are beautiful and you'd not know they were made from TP rolls. Enjoy your discovery process. I did!
I remake them into mini basket ornaments.
I cut the rolls... slit them and they hold all kind of things..like roils of wrapping paper..and things needed to be stored on shelves..neatly..
You can make cute napkin rings by covering them with washi tape or fabric and decorating as you like.
