    We use them to gather trash. We go through about one bag every two weeks, and since it is just the three of us in the house, that's about how often the "dry trash" in waste baskets around the house needs emptying. Ours are two layer paper bags. What sort of bag you have will influence ways you can use them. Do they still sell dog food in burlap? You could use burlap for a million things, but mulching garden walks comes to mind. Woven plastic bags could be recycled or upcycled into totes, pencil cases, and so on. I'm sure if you search the material in the bag and "uses" you can find projects here for just about anything!
