What can one do to use antique andirons for a different purpose?

We no longer have a fireplace and these antique andirons were made by my Grandfather. They are owls with glass eyes.

Place them on a counter or table in your bathroom and roll your towels and lay them in between. To roll towels first fold them in half and then roll.
