What is the best way to preserve wood bark from a 300 yr old tree?
because it was dying, we had to cut a lovely old oak tree and I want to put some of the bark on a wall inside my home and make tables out of the rest but have no idea what to use to seal it or hold it up.

Wood bark tends to fall apart--that's why tables made with the outside edge unfinished remove the bark before finishing. Sorry.
