I have a ton of magazines that I got free over the years. I feel so bad throwing them out. I know there has to be a project or a few projects that I can use them for. HELP!

Search "Magazine Pages Crafts" on Pinterest. If you still need ideas then, you aren't trying hard enough! ;-)

Home and family had a show back a few months ago where they turned old books and magazines into lamps, thought it was a great idea.

If you cant recycle, you could donate some of the newer ones to a thrift store-people do buy them. Also, the wreaths made from paper are really cute. You call roll the pages, or sew down the middle to make ruffles- lots of idea online.

I never made anything with magazines, but in my area I usually take a stack to the local assisted living center and even the hospital for the different waiting rooms.

@Cathy That is nice idea. Our hosp. used to have lots of magazines to look at, and I really appreciated that. Now, they have expanded and changed their name and image. They won't "allow" any magazines or anything lying around anymore. Too sad, more interested in their image, rather than someone who may be passing hours waiting for a loved one.

If you need a place to donate them ask your local high school art teachers. They love magazines for students to use for making collages, studying typography, merchandising, advertising , etc.
