Use a crowbar and a hammer to remove the nails. And wear protective gear!

I use my recip saw. It cuts the nails smooth. So much less work that prying apart and I found virtually no damaged boards this way, that I got when I was doing the prying way. Wearing protective gear at all times should be second nature.

    Easiest way is a sawsall.

My husband and I use a sawsall. A bit scary until you get the hang of it but much quicker than a crowbar!
