Where can I find small old windows for my beach scene collage artworh?
Hello,
I am attempting to make beach inspired collages within an old frame or window. I'm looking for ideas for the window part & how to make the sand stick to part of window & clear glue? I have seashells, fabric, sand, rocks, half glass marbles, stain glass paint, & bits & pieces!

Hi Bell,
If you're looking for old windows, a good place to look is at garage sales in your area. If you can't find them that way, there is a Habitat for Humanity Restore about 20 miles west of you on Route 52. They carry a lot of used building materials so you might be able to find something there. To look it use, use your search feature and type in Habitat for Humanity Restore El Cajon, CA. That should help if you need directions. Wishing you the best.
I always feel bad when I read a post like your as our town has such a facility for window/door/wood/dishes/books/toys/etc/etc/etc. All for free. Have you thought of maybe using sand paper for the background? Do you want the glass over or behind the collages?
