Many of us take our empty containers to church. When we serve for coffee time funerals and Weddings we are always looking for containers to send for home with some of out elderly and house bound friends. Make sure you have the lids that go with the container!

I use mine when I paint, especially if I mix certain colors, I want to make sure I have enough. I can put the lid on overnight (or a week). Once I am done, I can let the paint dry out (usually latex, I don't use oils) and then I can peel the dried paint out and use the container again.
Don't know if you raise poultry but if so you can freeze canned whole kernel corn in electrolyte water in them for treats on hot days. Mother used them to freeze leftovers all of the time. Everything she froze in them kept just fine for a long time.
