I don't know if it is because I love wine bottles more than wine but I simply adore wine bottle upcycles. If you don't know what I am talking about or haven't yet been convinced to start a wine bottle collection check out these two projects (no glass cutting required):

Nice, make a bottle tree.
I have used them to make a bird feeder.
I use wine bottles as border for flower beds.
Husband has made beautiful wind chimes with many bottles. Also sturdy incense burners with hole drilled in the lower side of bottle. You can make these as fancy as your willing to be. Bottom of bottles may be used for garden edging. I have purchased a night light covered with flat marbles/stones but am going to attempt that for my next project.
