I painted one and put it on the side of my garden shed with a bistro set beneath it. I planted my herbs and some lavender amongst the furniture for a rustic herb garden

Along the same idea as above....tack a lovely unframed picture of a soothing scene....your choice, forest/ocean/farmland....to the backside and hang on wall. I have seen these small windows used to make end tables or enclosed shadow box. All it needs is a simple wood box frame, a couple of hinges so that it can be opened and legs if made into a table.

Do you have a bathroom without a window? If so, get some mirror tiles and add them behind the window frame. You can paint the frame or leave it rustic looking. Then hang it. Then add a rod like you would for a regular window and add tieback curtains. I did that a few years back when I lived in a townhouse with a windowless bathroom. It gives it a larger feel. You could do it in a hallway also. Anywhere really. Hope this helps

Stained glass of course would be beautiful, or maybe just painting some glass squares and putting them in it like Windows. I saw where a decorator took pics of a peacock feather on a black background and hung them in glass frames for a beautiful effect. Maybe something like that . .

I had a thrift-store mirror cut to fit behind an old window frame and hung it on the back fence. I can see it out my kitchen window and it mirrors the flowers growing under the window. I get lots of compliments on it.

My own frame will hold a separate photo in each pane. Each representing stages or events of my life.

I just made one..my window has 6 panes, is in buttermilk and is sanded lightly in some areas. I stapled chicken wire to the backside, left 4 sides to see thru to chicken wire and covered 2 panels in chalkboard paint. just remember to rub the chalk onto the paint and remove before writing on it. A Good Seasonal Display.....can write anything on the chalk and put pics or removeable stencils on the glass

I have seen these made into table tops, coffee table tops and tops for a kitchen island by adding a back to it. Mosaic tiles (whole and broken) were used, colored glass stones, and rocks of various sizes to fill the squares where the glass was (clear poly or something). One I saw was on a wall and hinged to the backboard and displayed spoons. I hope this helps. Ooh! Ooh! I just thought of something else! If you like farm looking stuff, attach chicken wire on the back and use the holes to stick the corners of pictures in. And now I hope this helps. LOL

Love your frame! If you don't want to make it into a picture frame how about using it as a Christmas decoration? Add some boughs to the top,put a bow or a star in the right hand corner. Or you could do letters hanging from each square that spell Noel or ornaments. Ideas are endless. Then you can post your finished project on this site.

Spray it with chrome spray paint, then find four wire basket that are the same width as the panes, and attach them. Then mount to wall as a small set of floating baskets. I have a couple of pictures that will give you the rough idea, but are not exact. The first is of the type of basket.

all ideas are cool, I was thinking if you want a different kind of wall art, paint it nice color, put 4 different coordinating material behind each opening of the frame, then screw in for short shelves over each of the 4 frames, maybe even or not even, for shelving for knacks or anything,

Clean it up a bit, with some cleaner and sand paper .... but keep the ruggered look if you like it and then get a mirror placed behind it. It can then be hung on a wall or used outside in the garden to reflect light and add depth.

It would be cute done in a shabby chic "window" with a picture that carries forward in each frame so it looks like one picture as if you are actually looking out a window at a country scene. Or it could be painted chrome with a city scene.

well, I think it would be fun to paint it to match your decor, and then staple some chicken wire to the back, mount it on the wall at an angle and hang 'things' on it.. like photos, or bows, or tags, or for the holidays, dress it up with beads etc.

I hung a lace valance on the back side & a small wreath on the front & put it on my mantel, change the wreath for the seasons. You can also add a shelf to the bottom & hang the window on the wall & sit a battery operated candle on the shelf or whatever you like.
