Bringing Fall to Your Front Porch, Even With a Pink Door

If you're like me you don't have time to re-paint your front door with the season. I really struggled with how to decorate for fall with my Benjamin Moore's Raspberry Blush door. Thankfully I found the solution!
Before, a pink front door limits fall decor.
I love my pink front door, but really struggled with how to decorate it for fall when all of the beautiful decor was mostly reds, oranges and yellows.
My amazing Home Sense find!
I found this amazing pillow from Home Sense. I was shocked to see a pillow with coral, and red together! Especially with such a cool tribal 'sweater weather' pattern! I scooped it up immediately and used it as my inspiration. I already had black and gray covered with finishes and the deck stain on the porch. It honestly blows my mind how perfect this fit into my style!
Find a chair you don't mind painting. I taped and papered the bottom of this one off and gave the exposed surfaces a quick scuff with sandpaper.
I grabbed my go-to can of flat black by Krylon and gave this chair a much need block of colour in black. I really wanted it to anchor the space, bring it into fall and to give some presence opposite the coral.
I took a galvanized water pitcher from a garage sale, and filled it with wheat and three adorable apple skewers. Thrilled to be able to decorate with red, and apples over the traditional pumpkin! Apples are my favourite fall harvest!
I found a beautiful pumpkin made from slices of wood and fell in love with the warm white colour! Also instead of using a wreath on the door, like I had done in the past, I picked up a woven tray (also from HomeSense) instead and thought about trying it instead.
I couldn't be happier with the summer to fall transformation. I love the woven tray hanging from the door and the warmth it brings, and like I said, I am so excited to have been able to bring red to the porch, without having to change the colour of the door just yet!
