How do I paint my front door a bright eye catching color?
I would like to get some of that curb appeal by painting my front door a bright eye catching color, but when doing that does the inside and edges of the door get painted as well? Is it best to prime the door first even though the color of door is already white?

What color is your house currently?
I always prime before I paint. Paint will adhere better and last longer. I keep my edges white. Why, I have no logical reason, but I just do. You can paint to match the door.
I would take the time to prime it. It will help it last longer in the long run. Avoid painting the edges if it looks ok. Sometimes the build up of paint on the door doesn't allow it to work as well. I need to paint mine too! Good luck.
I've had problems with painting the edges unless I sand them first. I scrub it down, sand and repair any rough spots, Prime and then paint.
