How to mount mirror tiles to doors
I have old builder grade cardboard sliding doors on my closet and I want to put mirror tiles on to spruce it up. Problem, I can't take the doors off and lay them down because we don't have enough room anywhere. What would be the best way to attach them? I'm afraid if I use glue they will slide off. Please help and thank you.

You can also use mirror mastic in a caulk tube.

I would use a construction adhesive like Liquid Nails. Use painter's tape to hold them in place while it dries and put them up in stages - not all at once.
Try using hot glue
Loctite adhesive in a caulking tube. It will set within a few minutes, give instant adhesion, (just hold in place for a few minutes) will give you plenty of time to adjust the mirror. I did full sheets of 4' x 8' bead board on my walls with it.

Start at the bottom of the doors using adhesive caulk. Place one row of the mirrors, tape tightly with painter's tape. Wait to install the other rows in the same manner until you have the doors covered. These steps should work well and be permanent. Be sure you have enough space between the closet doors if they slide one behind the other so as not to block the sliding when open and closing.
I hope you don't mean those mirror and gold tiles from the 70's those were not a good thing.
Are you positive that the doors will have enough clearance to close without scraping on the other door? Adding anything somewhat inhibits the ability of the door to open and close properly could also spell problems for glass breakage.
I can't add anything to my doors that would in anyway add more depth. I am looking at paint techinques or wall paper just not sure the exact look yet.
I would use Alien Tape That stuff is amazing and doesn't damage the surface when you remove them. Don't be stingy on the application. You can buy it from the commercial, Dollar General, & HSN that I know of. HSN has the best deal.

Hi Pat, tiling adhesive will work. It has great sticking power. I would also start tiling at the bottom and work my way up.
I would use construction adhesive which is thick and sticky. Maybe start at the bottom and tape them with painter's tape as you go.
I would find room somewhere to take them off and work on them
They have mirror cement, that comes in a tube and it's made to glue mirrors to walls directly. We've done it many times and it holds. Just take them down while the cement dries.
Double sided tape!
I doubt they will hold up to the weight of mirror tiles, and the glue possibly will give way also. I would get some mirror mylar to use on the doors.... Tap Plastic carries it.
So put the tiles up and them put tape on them to hold in place like painters tape it won’t stick
IMO double-sided tape will not be stronger than gravity, and therefore it will not hold the mirror tiles in place.
Painters tape will be ineffective, as it is not designed for permanent adherence.
You can use a fast setting construction adhesive. You can also use painters tape over them to keep them from slipping while the adhesive does its thing.
