What is the best weatherproof paint to use for doors?
I have a metal side door that I painted two years ago and it is peeling. I thought I used an outdoor paint. There is no screen door so it really gets hit with the weather. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I used Sherwin Williams exterior paint and my door is getting full sun with no screen to protect. Still going strong on its third year. https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/inspiration/project-center/front-door-refresh
To paint a steel door, you'll need exterior paint and an oil-based primer designed specifically for metal. Before you apply the primer and paint, lightly sand the door with 400-grit sandpaper so the primer and paint will stick to it better. Then, apply 2 coats of the primer, letting it dry after each coat.
I agree with Em. Also, there are special paints now that are called DTM or direct to metal. I've used PPG Brand DTM full acrylic paint on metal exteriors (even aluminum) with incredible results and it's water based!
