DIY Window Awning

So easy and cheap for window decorating project!
I used large cardboard pieces from a lawnmower box (thick and sturdy/Free), cut in length desired with 2 angle pieces for the corners, and then used duct tape to secure 3 pieces together. I then used hot glue to cover the valance with a shower curtain for fabric (water resistant/$20), trimmed with camel pommoms (ebay, $5), and secured to siding with curtain hooks ($2). This s not a permanent thing, more like a couple seasons of use but I really like the overal look of the back porch with the added flair. and I have thrown away $30 and 2 hours on less awesome things! :)
Enjoyed the project?
